r (OP) 75-80 days – Heirloom. Crackerjack marigolds produce big, brightly-colored orange, yellow, and tangerine blooms on large plants reaching 2-3 feet tall and don’t need staking. One of the biggest and showiest of the marigold varieties. The blooms are cheerful 4-inch pom-poms of sunshine. Great for cut flowers or flower arrangements, since they don’t wilt, but continue to look fresh. These are often planted as a natural pest deterrent; known to repel deer, soil nematodes, and many insect pests.
