r ‘Emily’ is an heirloom basil that was praised in our trial for having the best basil traits: bold flavor, fragrant aroma, large and beautifully colored leaves, and an excellent keeper once cut. This is a more compact version of the Genovese basil plant, which makes it ideal for growing in pots, but it grows equally well in gardens and greenhouses. Incredibly flavorful for pesto, salads, sauces, and other Italian dishes. Abundant and bushy ‘Emily’ is easy to grow in warm conditions and repels many pests.
