Soaking the beans for 1-2 hours before planting will speed germination.rr rr REMARKS: Calcium Sulfate, or gypsum, mixed into each row prior to planting will stimulate growth and increase yield and size considerably. Evenly water throughout the summer. Harvest blossoms and young pods for fresh eating. For dry beans, leave pods on the plant until they dry and turn brownish. Shell out beans by hand or thresh them out and blow out the chaff with a fan. Beans will store for years if dry.
